Resumo:The Graduate Program in Immunology and Inflammation, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, will be hosting a series of nine masterclasses on science diplomacy where national and international speakers will share their own experiences and discuss with the audience strategies and approaches for regional, national and global challenges. This is part of a Science Diplomacy discipline we are launching within our PhD programme It will also be available to the University of Nottingham (UK) and the UK-Indonesia Consortium for Interdisciplinary Sciences (UKICIS) research communities.
Dr. Amin is an associate professor at the National Research Center, Cairo, Egypt, where she was co-founder and president of the Egyptian Society for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. She was also co-founder and committee member of the Global Young Academy (GYA), TWAS young affiliate and TWAS-AAAS science diplomacy alumni. She was the founding chair of the Women in Science Without Borders (WSWB) initiative and network, which has hosted World Forum for Women in Science Conferences in different countries.
